Networked regional centres

Regional centres have organized themselves into a network for the assembling, exchange and comparison of knowledge and experience. In shared networks regional centres develop and disseminate modes of operation producing added value to the regional and national implementation of Regional Centre Programme objectives.

Regional centre networks development themes are innovative action, prosperity, education and culture. Large urban regions, industrial centres and rural regional centres in their reciprocal networks concentrate on specific development needs and possibilities for different types of urban regions.

Networks also bring about interplay between actors not only in regional centres but in government central and regional administration, the provinces, the business sector and education and research organisations.  Regional centres with assigned tasks are responsible for the national coordination of networks.
