Discrimination research and monitoring
The Ministry of the Interior coordinates the Discrimination Monitoring Group which consists of representatives from a number of public authorities, research institutes, NGOs, and equality, gender equality and independent bodies.
Keeping track of discrimination is just one way in which the implementation of fundamental rights is monitored and actions associated with the implementation and monitoring of international human rights conventions are supported.
The Discrimination Monitoring Group commissions studies on discrimination in different areas of life.
In addition, the Monitoring Group collects and further develops data on discrimination in conjunction with research institutes and organisations which maintain statistics.
